My breastfeeding journey began in 1996 with my first child, full of excitement and confidence — and quickly turned into pain, confusion, and self-doubt.

Despite attending prenatal classes, I was unprepared for the realities of breastfeeding. Pain was dismissed as “normal,” my struggles were labelled as “not enough milk,” and formula was introduced within days. I believed the professionals. I believed my body had failed.

Years later, after giving birth in a breastfeeding-friendly hospital in the USA and receiving proper guidance from a lactation consultant, I discovered a life-changing truth:
breastfeeding is not instinct alone — it is learned, supported, and empowered.

With each subsequent child, armed with knowledge and experience, I went on to successfully breastfeed exclusively. The difference in my children’s health, immunity, and overall well-being was undeniable.

Those experiences shaped my life’s mission.

Today, as a breastfeeding consultant and parenting coach, I support parents not just with information, but with understanding, confidence, and compassion. I have lived the struggles, overcome them, and experienced the deep joy that comes with being informed and supported.
